Seattle Public Library Virtual Programs

Job searchers in Seattle can get free virtual tutoring from Tutor.com with a Library card or Library Link number

Log in to Tutor.com with a Library card or Library Link Number and PIN.

Live English and Spanish tutors are available from 2 to 10 PM daily. Vietnamese tutors are available from 4 to 7 PM. Virtual tutors can assist with job applications, cover letters and resumes.

Ventures

Ventures provides access to business training, capital, coaching and hands-on
learning opportunities for entrepreneurs with limited resources and unlimited potential. They are a non-profit organization and therefore the services they offer are FREE or LOW COST.

Ventures offers a bilingual educational program that empowers women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC aspiring business owners with low-income.

World Relief (Seattle)

This program helps prepare refugees for American employment and workplace norms through weekly job preparation classes. They cover topics such as common workplace vocabulary, appropriate attitudes for customer-service and work schedules.

Year Up Puget Sound

Offers a one-year, intensive training program that provides low-income young adults, ages 18-24, in the Puget Sound region with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits & corporate internships.
