Renton Area Youth & Family Services (Childhaven)

Kinship Care program: This group provides support to grandparents and relatives who have the unique responsibility of raising the children of a relative. Kinship Care Support connects you and the children in your care to resources and a community of other families in the same situation.

Due to COVID-19 Kinship meetings meet virtually the 2nd Tues & 4th Thurs 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM.

Renton Innovation Zone Partnership

The Renton Innovation Zone Partnership (RIZP) connects communities and schools to drastically improve the well-being of children and their academic performance in the service areas of four elementary schools in the Renton School District.

Seattle Parents of Preemies

Peer-led support group for parents of preemies & infants that experienced a prolonged NICU stay. Through in-person & online meetings, our group offers members community, support & education on topics relating to prematurely born and medically fragile children. We welcome all families, even those living outside of WA state. Meetings are held monthly.

Sisters in Common

Sisters In Common provides community based solution-focused and outcome-oriented services to children, teens and families. Services include referral, brief intervention treatment, counseling and case management, to meet the needs of children, teens and families.

Skagit County Healthy Beginnings Line

Mon – Fri 8:30am – 4:30pm
Helps families of pregnant women and young children find activities and services that promote health, development and well-being.

Somali Health Board

The Somali Centering Motherhood Program serves, and seeks to improve health outcomes for Somali mothers, babies, and children up to age five in King County. The program promotes healthy lifestyles, early prenatal care, and fosters community. Call for more information.

Somali Youth & Family Club

Offers workshops that provide information and education on parenting skills, appropriate discipline practices and knowledge to increase understanding of brain development. They also work on Kindergarten readiness skills.
