Offers activities and social peer group programs such as Afternoon Activities Club, Hike & Swim Club, Book Club, Art Club, Drama Club, Job Skills Club, and Saturday Supper Club as well as open choice hours and one-on-one support, mentoring, and tutoring.

Issaquah Parks and Recreation Specialized Programs

Issaquah Parks & Recreation welcomes and encourages children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities to register for all programs offered. We do, however, ask for parents or guardians of children with special needs interested in enrolling their child in an inclusive program to contact program coordinator, Ross Hoover.

Center Hours: Mon – Fri 5:00am – 9:00pm and Sat 8:00am – 1:00pm

Kent Parks and Recreation Adaptive Recreation

Mon – Fri 6:00am – 9:00pm and Sat 8:00am – 9:00pm

Kitsap Accessible Family Events

Little Bit Therapeutic Riding

Mon – Sat 8:00am – 7:00pm
Offers adaptive riding, OT/PT, speech and hippotherapy.

Max Higbee Center

Offers community-based recreation activities for teens & adults with developmental disabilities. Please call or visit website for specific program information.

Providing Sport, Social and Recreational opportunities to people with disabilities

Naval Base Kitsap Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)

Services, support, resources and referrals offered to military families who have a family member with special health care need. Activities may include movies, swimming and bowling.

NW Down Syndrome Association

Vancouver Open Arms Play Group: – For families with children age 0 – 5 experiencing any disability
Meets the 1st Sun of each month 3:30pm – 5:30pm

Portland Open Arms Play Group: – For families with children age 0 – 5 with disabilities
Meets the 2nd Wed of each month 10:00am – 12:00pm
